US Tariffs: US President Trump made a big statement, said- I like PM Modi, but…

Trump Tariff; India-US Talk: After US President Donald Trump first imposed reciprocal tariffs on many countries including India and then halted its implementation for 90 days, its impact is being felt across the world. Many countries including India are negotiating with the US regarding the tariffs.
Meanwhile, now US President Trump has once again made a big statement. Trump said, “India imposes more tariffs than other countries… but I like Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I think India will reduce tariffs.”
Regarding the tariffs imposed on China, Trump said that the reduction in tariffs on China depends on them. America will decide the tariffs for China in the next 2-3 weeks. He said that if there is no deal with any firm or country, then tariffs will be decided. Trump said, “If we don’t deal with China, it doesn’t matter.”
He said that China is considering reducing tariffs on car parts but the US is not considering any changes in auto parts or auto tariffs. Trump said that car tariffs may increase in Canada. Cars should not be imported from Canada. Tariffs on cars in Canada may increase by more than 25%.

26% tariff on India

Let us tell you that America has imposed a reciprocal tariff of 26 percent on India. However, Trump has put a 90-day ban on its implementation. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had gone to America to discuss the tariff, but she returned to her country after the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. In such a situation, talks regarding tariff between the two countries have not been held at present.

245 percent tariff on China

Let us tell you that amid the possibility of trade war arising over reciprocal tariff, America has recently imposed a tariff of 245 percent on China while China has imposed a duty of 125 percent on American goods.
Trump said, “I’m not saying I’m going to be tough with China, we’ll be very nice, they’ll be very nice and we’ll see what happens. Ultimately they’ll have to make a deal or they won’t be able to do business in the United States. So, we want them to be a part of it, but they’ll have to make a deal. If they don’t make a deal, we’ll make a deal. We’ll make a deal and it will be fair to everybody. This process is going to move very fast.”
He said that China has betrayed the US and this is not going to happen now. China warned the US that compromising with Beijing despite extreme pressure from Washington is not the right way to deal with the Chinese side and it will not work.
