After this update, if you were previously using country-specific domains like google.in (India) or google.co.uk (UK) for Google search, you will now see google.com directly in the browser’s address bar.

Google has clarified that this change will only affect the domain shown in the address bar. Google’s services will continue to work as before, according to search results and country laws. That is, there will be no change in the way you search, local results, or content according to laws.

Country-specific domains are no longer needed
Google said that since 2017 it has been providing the same experience and local search results to all users around the world, no matter which domain they search from (eg google.fr, google.jp etc.). Therefore, it is no longer necessary to maintain separate domains for different countries.
